Your privacy is not an afterthought here. This page sets out, in plain language, what OurDream AI collects when you visit, why we collect it, the legal grounds we rely on, and the control you keep over your own information.

We have tried to keep the legalese light. If something is unclear, ask. The quickest way to reach a human is through our Contact page.

Who we are and who controls your data

OurDream AI operates this website as an independent editorial and comparison resource covering AI companion apps. The site is run for an adult audience and reviews third-party products; it is not the developer of those products. For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller responsible for information collected here is OurDream AI, reachable at [email protected]. To understand the editorial model that funds this work, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

What we collect

Two kinds of information reach us. The first you hand over deliberately, the second is gathered automatically as you browse.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal data, and OurDream AI simply has no use for it. Please don't send it.

The legal bases we rely on

We don't process data just because we can. Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, every use needs a lawful basis, and ours come down to three. Consent covers non-essential cookies and analytics, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time. Legitimate interest covers running a secure, relevant, functioning website. Legal obligation covers the rare cases where the law requires us to keep or disclose something.

How we use it

Bluntly: to keep the site working and to make it better. That means serving pages, understanding which articles people find useful, spotting bugs, and measuring whether the companions we feature are the ones readers actually care about. We also use it to reply when you contact us. The full terms covering your use of the site live on the Terms of Service page.

Affiliate partners and third parties

When you click through to a product we feature, that company may set its own cookies and collect data under its own rules, which we do not control. We earn commissions on some of those clicks. That relationship is spelled out in our Affiliate Disclosure, and the tracking side of it is covered in the Cookie Policy. Some of these partners operate outside the UK and the EU; where data crosses borders, it is done under the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal data. Full stop.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, port it elsewhere, or object to that use altogether. Readers in the UK and the EU have these rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR; readers in California have comparable rights under the CCPA. Exercising them is free. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe the law allows.

If you ever feel we've mishandled your information, you can also complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU it is your national data protection regulator. We'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Retention and security

We hold personal data only as long as there is a reason to. Emails are kept while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period after; analytics data is aggregated and ages out. We protect what we store with sensible technical measures, though no website can promise perfect security, and we don't pretend otherwise. That caveat, and others, sit in our Disclaimer.

Children

This is an adults-only site. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has contacted us, tell us and we will erase the information.

Changes and contact

Laws move, and so do we, so this policy will be updated from time to time; the date at the top always reflects the current version. Want to know more about the people behind the site? That's the About Us page. For anything privacy-related, email [email protected] or use the Contact form, and the team at OurDream AI will get back to you.
